With the anticipated release of her upcoming collaboration with Target, fans of Victoria Beckham have been anxious as they await more details. The designer did just that with a video posted on her Instagram page yesterday, but the collection wasn’t the only thing fans noticed.
In the background, some familiar music played as models Candice Huffine, Lineisy Montero and Sasha Pivovarova showcased items from the Victoria Beckham x Target collaboration. It should be unmistakably recognizable to fans of her earlier work, but not as a designer.
The classic chart-topper “Spice Up Your Life” from Beckham’s earlier endeavors with the Spice Girls rings in the background. The designer was previously known as Posh Spice when a member of the wildly popular 90’s pop group.
Beckham referred to her collaboration with Target as “sophisticated and chic,” adding that “goal was to create something people would enjoy and remember for years to come.”
She also released all the looks from the collection yesterday, coinciding with their premier in New York. With a wide view in it’s entirety, it features an array of options for women of all ages. It consists of many different children’s wear looks as well.
The latter drew inspiration from Beckham’s daughter, Harper. Being a mother, the designer pointed towards her daily duties as a factor as well.
“I know what fabrics [children] like because I’ve been dressing them for a long, long time. Take that and apply what I’ve learned through being a mom,” she added.
Everything in the Victoria Beckham x Target collection is between $6 and $70. Fans of her as a designer and Posh Spice alike can look forward to it’s release on April 9th.
