Sarah Jessica Parker has made her presence known across beauty and fashion, having released multiple collections that have all been met with success. Considering her rise, the opportunity for her to open her own store would look to be the next logical step for the actress.
With the construction of the upcoming MGM National Harbor resort just outside of Washington, D.C., this will finally become a reality. Parker has confirmed that she will be opening her first boutique in the building that will also be home to a hotel, casino and multiple restaurants.
“It’s been very exciting to have been involved in all steps of the process, from on-site construction visits to the actual layout and design of our boutique,” stated Parker. “I’m honored to be included in this massive undertaking and I’m very much looking forward to celebrating in December. Because perhaps then I will believe it’s real.”
The fashion boutique will play host to all of Sarah Jessica Parker’s fashion and beauty products, joining Amazon, Bloomingdales and Net-a-Porter. This includes her shoe label, handbags, accessories, jewelry and little black dress collection priced all priced between $30 and $700.
“When curating our retail collection, we first and foremost wanted to align ourselves with a luxury brand that represents style, elegance and, most of all, fun. We know this boutique will appeal to a wide variety of women and we’re looking forward to inviting them in to discover their new favorite shoe, handbag or little black dress,” stated Bill Boasberg, general manager of the hotel at the MGM resort.
Sarah Jessica Parker’s boutique, in addition to the hotel, will officially open on December 8th.
