The Perfumed Plume Awards are pleased to announce that the third awards celebration will take place in New York City on Wednesday April 11 2018.

“We were energized by the number and quality of submissions received last year from​ the incredibly talented fragrance writers both home and abroad​,”​ comments Mary Ellen Lapsansky, Co-Founder. “We are hoping to double the number of submissions going into the 2018 awards process.”​

Submissions will be accepted beginning November 1, 2017 through January 31, 2018.

NEW Criteria for Scent Stories (Digital & Print)

Fragrance articles must focus on generic information about scent in an original, creative and unique style that engages and educates the consumer on the art and craft of fragrance. The articles should give an inside view of the cultural, historic, scientific and personal approaches to fragrance design and what it takes to create an evocative scent.

The following types of articles will not be accepted:

New fragrance launch announcements

“Q&A” Interviews

Promotional article on a specific fragrance

ALL articles will be vetted by a small group of fragrance experts comprised of members from the Perfumed Plume Consulting Committee. Vetting will be strictly based on the criteria.

The print publications/digital sites must have been established and active for at least 1 year and published in English. They must have a large following in the U.S.



Minimum number of words – 500.

Published in English between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017.

Publications may submit 2 articles per award category. There is a $35 non-refundable processing fee for each article submitted. Separate entry forms must be filled out for each article submitted.
