Twenty-two years after taking on his initial position as Global Account Manager at drom Paris, Bertrand Lemont returns as the new president of drom North America.
Lemont, who started his career at Kao Corporation in France in 1994, can look back on more than two decades of experience in the fragrance and beauty industry spanning across a wide range of product categories, including Fine Fragrance, Beauty Care, Fabric Care and Home Care. Most recently he served as an industry consultant, using his in-depth market knowledge to support a variety of organizations, from investment funds to large beauty companies, in their creative process development and fragrance strategy.
In his new position, he will be driving drom’s strategy for the US and Mexico and will be responsible for all related customers, as well as future business development. “I am thrilled to be back at drom,” says Lemont. “I have always been very fond of the company and its people. It is also a very exciting time for drom US. In the current US market environment drom has an amazing opportunity to capture market shares within the mid-size high growth domestic brands. These brands are looking for the right partner like us that can provide highly creative solutions to their needs while being very agile and quick to market.”
After joining the sales team of International Flavors & Fragrances France in 2000, he was transferred to the New York fine fragrance sales team in 2002 and has held several managing positions within IFF since then.
Throughout his career he has been managing fine fragrance accounts such as Estee Lauder, Yves Rocher, L’Oreal, Unilever Prestige, Coty, and Avon among others and also has extensive experience in leading global creative and innovation teams.
