Having transformed the Home Shopping Network during her tenure, Mindy Grossman has announced that she will be leaving the company. Her resignation take effect for HSN Inc. on May 24th, though her new position will begin in July.
She has chosen to join Weight Watchers as their new president and chief executive officer. Having served as CEO at HSN since 2008, Grossman brings a wealth of experience to her new role while ending her 11-year career with her former company.
“On behalf of the board, we thank Mindy for her visionary leadership and many contributions to our company during a transformative period in its history,” stated Weight Watchers chairman, Arthur C. Martinez. “She has been a committed partner to the board in the development of important initiatives that have created a solid foundation for the future. We will miss her energy, creativity and passion for our company, and wish her success in her future endeavors.”
In light of the recent change, HSN has decided to enlist the service of search in order to find Grossman’s successor. The company has stated that they will look both internally and externally while Grossman remains with HSN to assist in the transition process.

Grossman’s prior accomplishments speak volumes, among which being featured by Forbes as one of the world’s 100 Most Powerful Women three times. The possibilities for Weight Watchers under her care could be seemingly endless.
