Amidst Donald Trump’s presidency, questions have swirled around Ivanka regarding her own ventures. Speculation has been abound since her father won the presidential election just over two months prior. He will be sworn in as president one week from today.
Simultaneously, she will need to assess her role within her own fashion brand. It holds an estimated worth now hovering above $100 million. Her and her fathers presence within the Trump organization has already been clarified during his press conference that was held on Wednesday.
In a recent Facebook post, Ivanka addressed the former of the two issues by announcing Abigail Klem as the person who will lead the brand going forward. She will be in charge of the day-to-day operations and be in communication with the board of trustees.
Klem served as the president of the Ivanka Trump brand since 2007 before the news.
“I am confident that under her leadership the company will continue creating smart, solution-oriented product and content,” she stated.
She would quickly follow that by addressing the issue of the Trump Organization as well.
“My brothers will oversee the Trump Organization, and I know that in their capable hands the business will thrive.”
This wasn’t the only news Ivanka shed light on either. The mother of three brought up both her dedication to the empowerment of women as well as the plan for her family given her father’s presidential victory.
“I am eager to hear more from them as I determine the most impactful and appropriate ways for me to serve our country. Thank you to those of you who’ve lent your voices and perspective. To those of you I’ve yet to meet, I look forward to working with you and for you,” stated Ivanka. “My husband, Jared, and I will be moving with our family to Washington, D.C., where Jared will serve as senior adviser to the president. I plan to take time to settle our three young children into their new home and schools.”
It seems that the landscape of the entrepreneur’s lifestyle will be changing drastically. We should be able to better assess just how much in the weeks following next Friday’s ceremony.
