On Wednesday, January 10th, Linda Levy, President of The Fragrance Foundation, presented her plan of action for The Fragrance Foundation in 2018. Speaking to a room full of members, board members, industry insiders and journalists who were invited for breakfast at Brasserie 8 1/2 in NYC, Levy stated that since taking the helm back in August, she has been on a “listening tour” speaking to everyone she possibly could to develop this well- thought-out plan. Entitled, The Future of the Fragrance Foundation, some of the most important changes include: a new mission statement; a new Instagram name and social media campaign; and the establishment of an official Fragrance Day.
Levy stated, “The Fragrance Foundation’s mission is to inspire the world to discover the artistry and passion of fragrance. In support of our mission, we are launching the first official Fragrance Day on March 21st. This is a call to action to everyone in our fragrance community. Let’s celebrate Fragrance Day by activating perfumer events and brand animation to invigorate our dialogue with consumers.”
Jerry Vittoria, Chairman of The Fragrance Foundation and Head of Fine Fragrance Worldwide at Firmenich, stated, ” The future of the Fragrance Foundation is in the very capable hands of Linda Levy and her team. The Foundation is the only organization solely devoted to the education and appreciation of fragrances. So we are pleased to refocus the Foundation’s energy and resources to further engage and inspire consumers.”
