Firmenich, the world’s largest privately-owned fragrance and flavour company, today opened a new cutting-edge Global Perfumery Creative Centre at Singapore’s Science Park. Expanding the Group’s footprint in Asia, this state-of-the-art facility will offer world-class capabilities from perfume creation and technology innovation, to cutting-edge application labs and consumer insights. This Global Centre of Excellence houses the Group’s leadership teams for Hair Care, Soap Bars and Detergent Powders, uniting Firmenich’ s expertise in Fine Fragrance, Body Care and Home Care. The inauguration ceremony was officiated by Dr Beh Swan Gin, Chairman of the Singapore Economic Development Board, with Ms Emilija Georgieva, Charge d’affaires of the Embassy of Switzerland in Singapore also present.
“We have been present and continuously investing in Singapore since 1974, a strategic growth hub for Firmenich across Asia and also globally,” said Gilbert Ghostine, CEO, Firmenich. “This new creative facility reinforces our commitment to deliver the most innovative, consumer-focused fragrance solutions to our clients and their consumers.” During the official ceremony, Dr Beh Swan Gin, Chairman of the Singapore Economic Development Board applauded the strong ties between Switzerland and Singapore who celebrated their 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year.
