Dior’s traveling pop-up shop has literally gone around the world and back. Having visited seven cities total, Los Angeles will be the final stop for their showing of Maria Grazia Chiuri’s first Dior collection.
Specifically, Maxfield’s Jean Prouvé house is the destination. The spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection has already reached cities like New York, Miami, Milan and more before returning to the U.S. The Los Angeles shop, having opened yesterday, will be available until April 14th.
“We are delighted for the opportunity to partner with Maxfield and to showcase our spring-summer 2017 collection within the Prouvé house,” stated Renaud de Lesquen to WWD. “The modern and timeless design aesthetic aligns so perfectly with the feel of the collection and with Maria Grazia Chiuri’s evolving vision for the house of Dior.”
“Maria Grazia’s approach brings a certain youthfulness to Dior Couture, which aligns with our customers’ way of shopping,” added Peter Utz, chief branding officer at Maxfield.
Chiuri’s first collection with the brand has been able to reach a considerable viewership. Having traveled to so many differing locations abroad, Dior and Maria Grazia Chiuri have brought the exciting collection to numerous markets.
Needless to say, that sound strategy translates into a productive beginning to Maria Grazia Chiuri’s tenure with the brand.
