Aside from their Hair Couture Extensions, Balmain hasn’t ventured very far into beauty. That is all about to change with the announcement of an exciting partnership with L’Oréal Paris.
The two brands will be partnering to release a limited edition lipstick capsule collection, aided by the oversight of Balmain creative director, Oliver Rousteing. He will do so for the new products as well as their advertising campaign upon it’s release this coming fall.
The collaboration was announced in a joint statement this previous Wednesday, noting the potential of the deal and also praising Rousteing for his work.
“With L’Oréal Paris, Rousteing brings the raw creativity with which he has reinvented Balmain, from the Paris runways to his first ever beauty collection. The crossroads of high fashion and affordable beauty, the Balmain aesthetic reaches a new audience through the world’s most-loved lipstick: Color Riche. Number-one globally, Color Riche lipstick is sold worldwide every three seconds.”
Oliver Rousteing shared those sentiments as well, delving into the two company’s shared emphasis on female empowerment.
“L’Oreal Paris and Balmain share the same strong vision of femininity and the same goal, to empower women and offer them diverse ways to express themselves,” Rousteing stated. “I’m thrilled to make this idea tangible for every woman around the world.”
Of the new items being offered, the collection will consist of three color themes spanning 12 new shades of Color Riche lipstick.
It will be offered at select retail locations this coming September, as eager onlookers await the new releases’ unveiling set to precede Paris Fashion Week.
