In January 2016, Ron Sasine started his own consultancy after working for some of the worlds largest companies from MeadWestvaco to, more recently, Wal-Mart where he lead the private brands packaging group. His new business venture, named Hudson Windsor, works with packaging companies that deal directly with the nations largest retailers and consumer brand firms.
Sasine said of the transition from corporate to private: “The buck truly does stop on my desk. Or iPhone. Or passenger seat of my rental car. There is no one else but me to pick up the slack. I don’t have the luxury of a customer service team, which I once had, who could handle inquiries and solve problems while I was on the road. Now I have to carefully balance my own time and priorities to keep business development, contract reviews and project execution on track.”
